SC2 Bombshell: CAIR's Boy Admits To Making An Bomb-Building Instructional Video

SC2 Bombshell: CAIR's Boy Admits To Making An Bomb-Building Instructional Video
Hat Tip: Americans against Hate

In a 12-minute video posted on YouTube, an Egyptian man wearing a white shirt, khaki pants and rubber gloves explains in Arabic how to turn a toy boat into a bomb.

His name is Ahmed Abdellatif Sherif Mohamed, and last month he was arrested in Goose Creek after authorities found four PVC pipes containing a mixture of potassium nitrate, kitty litter and sugar in his car’s trunk.

Mohamed told FBI agents he made the video to teach “those persons in Arabic countries to defend themselves against the infidels invading their countries,” according to federal court documents released late Tuesday.

Specifically, he told the FBI “the technology which he demonstrated in the tape was to be used against those who fought for the United States.”

Well, I initally was a skeptic. I'm skeptical no more.

It sounds to me like this Egyptian student, who is being defended by CAIR had criminal intent at Goose Creek. These people seem to have a motivation that we do not personally understand, and the hatred that they have against all westerners is astounding, but if one knows what is truly written in the Koran, then it is understandable, because Mo the pedophile taught that his people were to murder those who refused to convert to Islam.

FATWA ON BOLLINGER! ---Tough Questions For Ahmadinejad

Gateway Pundit: FATWA ON BOLLINGER! ---Tough Questions For Ahmadinejad

Instead of fawning all over Ahmanutjob it would have been better if he had been faced with several tough questions about his own set of beliefs. This man is extremely dangerous in his religious beliefs, which is something that a lot of westerners do not understand. He has been preparing the way for the Madhi to return from the bottom of a well. He also believes in causing Armageddon to occur.

However, this is only a part of the story on Gateway Pundit. Apparently the Iranian parliament is not happy because Ahmanutjob was insulted by the President of Columbia University, and therefore a fatwa was issued against Bollinger:

And, Iranian-American Banafsheh Zand-Bonazzi sends the latest from Iran--- A FATWA ON BOLLINGER:

I just heard from Iran...one of the big time
Ahmadinejad supporters, member of the Majles has attacked Bollinger and has
called for the Mullahs to put a fatwa on him and the various heads of
Columbia for insulting Ahmadinejad!
The Iranian Republic News Agency also lashed out at Bollinger:

"It is a shame for an academic center that such hateful and impolite words are uttered by its president. It is regretful that the media owners easily elicit what they want the president of a reputable university to say in his lecture," they said in the letter.

"Your statement about Iran was full of undocumented charges brought by the media and some of which were the outcome of misunderstanding which needs dialogue and closer study," it said.
Yes- We must really study if the Holocaust was an actual event.
Blah-

And, another member of the Iranian Parliament lashed out at Bollinger, via IRNA:

Member of Parliament (Majlis) Abdolmajid Shoja said on Tuesday that the offensive behavior of Columbia University chancellor towards President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad betrayed the US administration's weakness in facing Iran.

Shoja also told IRNA that all nations worldwide respect their guests, but he (chancellor of Colombia University) insulted the high-ranking Iranian official (president) in a country which claims to be cradle of democracy, culture and civilization.

They had better raise their critics and viewpoints in form of questions, he said, adding that the US academic could have spoken to Ahmadinejad more politely.

He said that the US tries to wage a propaganda campaign to suffocate Iran's voice, adding that Iran is the symbol of rightness in the world, therefore, the US does not want its voice heard by other nations. Also... South Africa-Iran-Tutu Nobel Peace Laureate Desmond Tutu criticized the American government yesterday.

Dhimmi Watch: "The Security Service fears that serious harm will be done to Norwegian Muslims in case of a terror attack in Norway"

Dhimmi Watch: "The Security Service fears that serious harm will be done to Norwegian Muslims in case of a terror attack in Norway"

I thought that this story was a little weird because I cannot understand why the Norwegian security would be more concerned about a possible backlash as a result of terrorism against a radical Muslim population than about the actual potential for an act of terrorism.

A translation by Christian of this Norwegian article, "Frykter lynsjing av muslimer" in Nyheter.

- Norwegians are stupid and not good at integrating.

This according to Norway's Police Security Service, which fears a lynching mood in case there will be a terror attack.

The Security Service fears that serious harm will be done to Norwegian Muslims in case of a terror attack in Norway.

- We are inexperienced and a bit stupid as regards diversity and a multicultural population, says head of Security Service Jørn Holme to nrknyheter.no.

- We confuse Islam and Islamism. Islamism is after all a very particular form of Islam. I believe many Norwegians mix it up completely.

- The Security Service is particularly worried about the possibility of extreme right-wing elements attacking Muslim compatriots, and that we will have a polarized population attacking and losing confidence in each other.

The minister of justice agrees with the head of Security Service.

- This is a preoccupation shared by all of us. Serious crimes like these create even more stigmatization and even more problems in connection with the preventive efforts, says Knut Storberget (social democrat) to nrknyheter.no.

Wednesday evening the head of Security Service for the first time particepated in a public discussion, arranged by the Muslim Students' Society. As reported by NRK previously this week, many Muslims think they are under surveillance and feel they have to face responsibility for what extreme Islamists do....

So why not actively cooperate, and help police find the "extreme Islamists"? If they were operating someplace known to me, that's what I would do. If they were operating in the name of something I believed in, I would make every effort to stop them, instead of claiming victim status for being under surveillance. Want to not be under surveillance? Take away the reason why anyone would be watching.

The Norwegian Security Police have absolutely no idea about the threat of terrorism from Jihadists who live amongst the Norwegians. It seems so very weird that what is labeled as extreme right wing share the same values as the Islamists, but this right wing element are more feared than those who are the most likely to cause extreme danger in Norway. The priorities are all wrong.

The Horror!! 19,000 Dead Terrorists in Iraq

by Gateway Pundit

To the Horror of Democrats & Terrorist Regimes- The US Is Winning in Iraq
And, quite impressively...

For the first time sine the war began the US military has released data on militants killed in Iraq.
USA Today reported:

More than 19,000 militants have been killed in fighting with coalition forces since the insurgency began more than four years ago, according to military statistics released for the first time.
The statistics show that 4,882 militants were killed in clashes with coalition forces this year, a 25% increase over all of last year.
The increase in enemy deaths this year reflects more aggressive tactics adopted by American forces and an additional 30,000 U.S. troops ordered by the White House this year.
This is not good news for Michael Moore's Minutemen:

Via Iraq Coalition Casualty Count 9-27-2007.
And, to add insult to injury--
Fewer Saudis are choosing to explode in Iraq today.
It is truly a bad day for US democrats.
Oh... And, the US military had their lowest number of fatalities this month than they have had any month all year.

Another OBL Tape--- This One Will Explain Why NY & DC Were Attacked

In the third Al Qaeda tape release this week, the terror group will be "Presenting reasons and motives for the attacks on New York and Washington."

Al Qaeda is coming out with another tape to explain its role in the 9-11 attacks.

So... Do you think this will finally end the 9-11 Truther movement?
...Me either.
Middle East Online reported:

WASHINGTON - Al-Qaeda will release a third video marking the sixth anniversary of the September 11 attacks, this time showing its top leader in Afghanistan, US monitoring groups said Wednesday.

After releasing two videos featuring Al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden in recent days, the terror network will now show a video "presenting reasons and motives for the attacks on New York and Washington," the SITE Intelligence Group said in a press release.

The new video will show Al-Qaeda's chief in Afghanistan, Mustafa Abu Al-Yazid, also known as Sheikh Said, said SITE, which monitors extremist websites.

The tape also features a montage of images showing the burning World Trade Center towers in New York and individuals such as Saudi King Abdullah, SITE said.

Another US-based monitoring group, IntelCenter, said it expected the video to be released by Al-Qaeda within 72 hours.

IntelCenter said the new video's upcoming release was announced by Al-Qaeda's media arm, As-Sahab.

Iraqis Vow to Punish Al Qaeda For Death of America's Ally

The Islamic State in Iraq took credit today for killing pro-Iraqi Sunni leader Abu Risha calling the death of the tribal leader a "heroic operation."

Mourners at the popular Sunni leader's funeral shouted "Al Qaeda is the enemy of Allah!". They vowed to take revenge on the Islamic terrorists for killing their young leader.

Abu Risha was buried beside his father and brother, both victims of Iraq's sectarian conflict.

The BBC reported:

Sunni Arab tribesmen have vowed revenge for the killing of a leader who had become a focal point for opposition to al-Qaeda in Iraq.

More than 1,500 mourners attended the funeral of Abdul Sattar Abu Risha, who was killed in a bomb attack in the city of Ramadi, Anbar province, on Thursday.

Al-Qaeda in Iraq said later in an internet statement that it had carried out the attack.

Iraq's national security adviser, interior minister and defence minister all attended the funeral in Ramadi, along with the second-in-command of US forces in Iraq, Lt-Gen Raymond Odierno.

The procession was guarded by scores of Iraqi police and US military personnel.

Mourners chanted "We will take our revenge" and "There is no God but Allah and al-Qaeda is the enemy of Allah" as the procession continued to the family cemetery.

Ahmed Abu Risha has been named as the tribal group's new leader after the death of his brother.

Al Qaeda-Linked Iraqi Arrested Trying to Enter US from Peru

Peruvian authorities arrested ten Iraqis trying to enter the US from Peru.
One of the Iraqis is thought to have links to Al Qaeda.
Global Incident Map and the Washington Times reported:

By Kelly Hearn - LIMA, Peru — Ten Iraqi citizens with forged passports and documents are in a Peruvian prison after an apparent bid to enter the United States on a flight to Los Angeles, officials here say.

An 11th Iraqi man thought to be part of the group is at large.

One of the men arrested is thought to have links to al Qaeda, said Peruvian National Police Col. Roberto Lujan, who is leading the investigation.

The capture of the 10 in this Andean nation raises the specter of a smuggling ring that could touch neighboring Ecuador.

The plot unfolded on June 21, when three Iraqis entered Jorge Chavez International Airport in Lima attempting to board a flight to Los Angeles.

Airline officials alerted police after two of the men holding Dutch passports could not speak Dutch. Citizens of the Netherlands are not required to hold a visa to enter the United States.

Police detained the suspects and learned that another group of Iraqis had been en route to the airport.

"The others were slowed by traffic on their way to the airport," Col. Lujan said. "When they arrived, they apparently saw what was happening and left."

None of the three Iraqis arrested in the airport spoke Spanish. One gave police the name of a 40-year-old Spanish-speaking Iraqi citizen named Rafid Joboo Pati, the group"s reputed leader.

Police said the Iraqis entered Peru on May 11 and passed through the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica and Ecuador without authorities noticing that their documents were fake.

Peruvian intelligence units spent several days watching Mr. Pati, who was residing in the upscale Lima neighborhood Miraflores, Col. Lujan said. Others thought to be part of the smuggling ring also were watched.

On the night of July 17, police raided three apartments where the suspects were living and arrested seven persons, including Mr. Pati.

Mr. Pati confirmed that all of the suspects were Iraqis. Two had Dutch passports, two carried Ecuadoran identification and two held Iraqi passports, police said. Mr. Pati carried an Ecuadoran passport, Col. Lujan said.
Rantburg noticed the interesting set of ages of those detained Iraqis:

On the night of July 17, police raided three apartments where the suspects were living and arrested seven persons, including Mr. Pati. Mr. Pati confirmed that all of the suspects were Iraqis. Two had Dutch passports, two carried Ecuadoran identification and two held Iraqi passports, police said. Mr. Pati carried an Ecuadoran passport, Col. Lujan said. Dhimmi Watch: Egypt: Islamic scholars reaffirm death penalty for apostasy

Dhimmi Watch: Egypt: Islamic scholars reaffirm death penalty for apostasy

One of the worst aspects of Islam is the way in which that the imams treat the ones that they term apostates. They are against "interfaith" marriage. The Islamic scholars in Egypt are seeking to reaffirm the death penalty for anyone who seeks to leave Islam or who marries one who is not Muslim.

Under this system Christians are more vulnerable than every because the Islamic scholars really do seek to murder all Christians if they do not convert to this evil ideology.

The Saudi Arabian government officials claim that they are having their own war on terror and that they have a program which deprograms the potential jihadis. The young man in this story is one who has been throught the program, and he now tells his story about how he was tricked.

Are these efforts enough? After all, what the jihadis are doing is in the Koran.

South Korean hostages told 'convert or die'

Da'wa: the intensive course. "Some kidnappers threatened us with death at gunpoint to force us to follow them in chanting their Islamic prayer for conversion."

More on this story. "S Koreans told 'convert or die,'" from the BBC (thanks to all who sent this in):

A group of South Koreans held hostage by Taleban militants in Afghanistan have said they were beaten and ordered at gunpoint to convert to Islam.

At a news conference in Seoul, the former captives also said they were made to work "like slaves" during their six-week ordeal.

Twenty-one members of the group were freed last month following an agreement between South Korea and the captors.

Two of the hostages - all Christian aid workers - had already been killed.

Beaten and kicked

The former hostages said they feared for their lives at times when their captors turned violent.

"We were beaten with a tree branch or kicked around. Some kidnappers threatened us with death at gunpoint to force us to follow them in chanting their Islamic prayer for conversion," said Jae Chang-hee.

"I was beaten many times. They pointed a rifle and bayonet at me and tried to force me to convert."

He said the group "lived like slaves. We had to level the ground for motorbikes, and get water and make a fire".

Another of the group, Yu Jung-hwa, described how she thought she was going to die.

"The most difficult moment, when I had a big fear of death, was when the Taleban shot [a] video.

"All 23 of us leaned against a wall and armed Taleban aimed their guns at us, and a pit was before me.

"They said they will save us if we believe in Islam. I almost fainted at the time and I still cannot look at cameras," she said.

Arabs blame US for terror rise

Don't fight back! If you just lie down and let yourself be conquered and subjugated, all will be well. That's essentially the message here. And the views expressed here are by no means unique to the Arabs; they are quite common in the U.S. also. Rashwan's statement, "Al-Qaeda has changed from a medium-sized group to a big network; it has become a franchise and a model for potential self-recruiting terrorists," is absurd on numerous ways. For one thing, the group already demonstrated in the 1990s a capacity to attack on an international level. But even worse is the idea that the U.S. response to 9/11, being responsible for a buildup, is therefore wrong in itself. Certainly, as we have often argued here, it has not been pursued as it should have, but the answer is decidedly not to make no response at all. Imagine an article in 1943 tut-tutting that the U.S. response to Pearl Harbor had led to the Japanese Navy growing from a medium-sized to a large force.

By Samia Hosny for DPA (thanks to all who sent this in):

Cairo - Some six years after the September 11 terrorist attacks in New York and Washington, many in the Arab world say the US-led "war on terror" is spurring terrorism everywhere and that the world is less safe as a result.

The resurgence of al-Qaeda is blamed by many Arabs on the United States, with recent foiled bomb plots in Germany, deadly terror attacks in Algeria, the latest video release by Osama bin Laden as well as the undiminishing daily violence in Iraq and Afghanistan winning yet more converts to this viewpoint.

"The world is much worse than it was before the war on terror," said Egyptian terrorism expert Dia Rashwan. The US-led campaign "created two main hotbeds for terrorism: Iraq and Afghanistan," Rashwan says.

Hat Tip: Jihad Watch

According to Rashwan, the war on terror has given the al-Qaeda network and its ideological brethren ammunition to legitimize their terror ideology and continue their media campaign for the hearts of Muslim youths.

"Al-Qaeda has changed from a medium-sized group to a big network; it has become a franchise and a model for potential self-recruiting terrorists," Rashwan says.

The apparent failure of US strategy in Iraq combined with a comeback of the Taliban in Afghanistan are creating a general feeling of "schadenfreude" in the Arab world.

Federal Prisons Censor Christian/Jewish Books in Effort to Stop Islamic Terrorists

Thanks to Jihad Watch regarding this report that show how stupid are the civil servants who think that Mohammedans are going to be stirred up by Christian and Jewish publications in the prison system. It would be far better to remove any book that references jihad. However, it looks like a case of civil servants having a severe case of Christianphobia and Judeophobia and political correctness. Personally, I think these idiots should be sacked:

Our stupid federal government. I have a great idea, let's give them more power! NY Times:

Behind the walls of federal prisons nationwide, chaplains have been quietly carrying out a systematic purge of religious books and materials that were once available to prisoners in chapel libraries....

Traci Billingsley, a spokeswoman for the Bureau of Prisons, said the agency was acting in response to a 2004 report by the Office of the Inspector General in the Justice Department. The report recommended steps that prisons should take, in light of the Sept. 11 attacks, to avoid becoming recruiting grounds for militant Islamic and other religious groups. The bureau, an agency of the Justice Department, defended its effort, which it calls the Standardized Chapel Library Project, as a way of barring access to materials that could, in its words, “discriminate, disparage, advocate violence or radicalize.” ...

The Bureau of Prisons said it relied on experts to produce lists of up to 150 book titles and 150 multimedia resources for each of 20 religions or religious categories — everything from Bahaism to Yoruba. ...

“Otisville had a very extensive library of Jewish religious books, many of them donated,” said David Zwiebel, executive vice president for government and public affairs for Agudath Israel of America, an Orthodox Jewish group. “It was decimated. Three-quarters of the Jewish books were taken off the shelves.”Anything not on that list gets thrown out. A lot of Bahais in federal prison, I suppose.

I have an idea, why not just throw out all Korans. That pretty much covers all the hate bases.

Fitzgerald: Islam and the nation-state

The nation-state is meaningless to a good Muslim, to the precise extent that he takes his Islam seriously. It exists; he needs its passport. He wants, in the case of the Infidel nation-state, to enjoy all the fruits of that state -- the fruits that are produced because it is the creation of Infidels, and is well-run, productive, and has stability and the rule of law. The "refugee," or rather immigrant, generally comes from one of an assortment of badly-run Muslim countries where despots are the natural order, given how Islam inculcates the notion that political legitimacy is to be located elsewhere than in "will of the people."

Listen carefully to Muslim rhetoric in this country. It is always not-quite-what-it-seems-to-be: we hear, for example, the phrase "we are here to stay." What does that mean? Is that a rousing sign of loyalty to the American political and legal system? Or is it, rather, an aggressive and defiant expression -- we're here, we're not going anywhere, and we will do exactly as we please, in putting relentless pressure on the American legal and political system, on its educational system, on its social understandings, and will never give up, and don't think about trying to stop us -- because "we're here to stay."

Have you seen Muslims visiting the rude bridge in Concord or Gettysburg, or any sites having to do with American history? In what fields have Muslims demonstrated an interest? Yes, in computer engineering, or other kinds of technology, and the more applied and the less imbued with values, including the values of science, the better. But when have you seen Muslims in this or any European country teach the history of that country -- say, American history, or Western civilization, or European art, or European music, or much of anything at all save those same few areas of engineering (and some parts of medicine), and those same "Islamic studies" of a comically apologist nature (where those who haven't gotten with the collaborationist program are carefully kept down, or kept out)?

Islam does not recognize the nation-state. It flatly contradicts the idea of the nation-state, of loyalty to the nation-state. This does not mean that some Muslims, in some Muslim-dominated lands, do not feel a desire to claim that "their" country is the "leader" of the (Arab, Islamic -- choose one) world. Muslims in Egypt may mock the rich Gulf Arabs for being rich, and uncivilized. Muslims in Iran may mock all the Arabs for being "desert" or "primitive" people, as compared to the "civilized" and "sophisticated" Iranians. (There is a nationalist pride in Iran, but that pride goes against Islam, and always has -- and that appeal to Iranian pride could be useful in de-islamising part of the Iranian population). Muslims in Jordan may mock the Kuwaitis as languorous sissies. Muslims in the Gulf may mock the poorer Arabs...for being poor. Muslims in Iraq may mock the other Arabs because Iraq "has a culture that is thousands of years old" or Iraq "is the cradle of world civilization" (even as the present Arabs show a complete indifference to the pre-Islamic past) or some such puffery that they love to engage in -- while we, looking at them, can only say "what have you done for the world lately?" And by "lately" we mean the last thousand years. They like to think of themselves as having been the inheritor of the Abbasid Caliphate, and full of this vast "middle class" that in Iraqi minds is exaggerated into something practically like England in 1920, when that "middle class" was, in that same 1920, almost entirely Jewish and Christian, and is now -- or was until the last few years --Christian with an admixture of those who were determinedly secular (that is to say, as non-Muslim-as-possible) Muslims.

Islam and the nation-state do not blend. Islam dictates to Muslims, inculcates in Muslim minds, a Belief System that offers both Complete Regulation, from dawn to dusk, soup to nuts, and a Total Explanation of the Universe. It has no need for, it ignores, it effaces or steps over, the silly limits of those silly Infidels with their silly nation-states.

This has to be thoroughly understood by Infidels, if they are to protect themselves.

Muslim countries urge non-Muslim West to de-link Islam from terrorism

They have condemned terrorism, you see, but "a matching response had not been forthcoming." Instead, there is a growing "religious intolerance and xenophobia in the west" -- not like in the Islamic world! And what are they doing to help Muslims de-link Islam from terrorism? On that point they are silent.

And here we're told that the OIC condemned "forced religious conversions by majority religious groups, attacks of places of worship, restriction on the display of religious symbols and erosion of rights of parents to ensure moral education for their children." Great -- that, condemnations of violence and terror, and a buck will get you a cup of coffee. Have they condemned Islamic supremacism? The imperative to subjugate unbelievers by violent or peaceful means? What do you think?

"OIC urges de-linking Islam from terrorism," from KUNA (thanks to Twostellas):

GENEVA, Sept 13 (KUNA) -- The Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), told the Human Rights Council (HRC) Thursday that the report of the Special Rapporteur on freedom of religion or belief called for stronger denunciation of violence by Muslim leaders in order to "de-link" Islam from terrorism. Representing the OIC, Pakistani diplomat Marghoob Saleem Butt said that there had been many such denunciations and a matching response had not been forthcoming. "The ever-growing incidents of religious intolerance and xenophobia in the west were taking the world far from its aim of religious and cultural harmony. The OIC condemned forced religious conversions by majority religious groups, attacks of places of worship, restriction on the display of religious symbols and erosion of rights of parents to ensure moral education for their children, " the diplomat added.

Meanwhile, what the OIC really wants is restriction of Western freedom of expression:

The representative of the OIC stressed that the Islamic countries deplored States that linked freedom of belief with freedom of expression and opinion in order to shrug off responsibility. "Unrestricted and disrespectful enjoyment of freedom of expression was contrary to the spirit of peaceful dialogue. Equating religions with extremist terrorism was dangerous and it was essential to de-link terrorist acts from the right to peacefully follow one's faith," the diplomat added. The representative of the OIC said efforts were needed to eliminate intolerance and discrimination, including through education and interfaith dialogue.

US: Syria on nuclear watch list; North Koreans were in Syria

1938 Alert, and an update on this story from the Associated Press:

North Koreans were in Syria and Damascus may have had contacts with "secret suppliers" to obtain nuclear equipment, a senior US nuclear official said Friday.

Andrew Semmel, acting deputy assistant secretary of state for nuclear nonproliferation policy, did not name the suppliers, but said there were North Koreans in Syria and that he could not exclude that the network run by disgraced Pakistan nuclear scientist A.Q. Khan may have been involved.

Semmel was responding to questions about an Israeli air strike in northern Syria last week.

Neither side has explained what exactly happened, but a US government official
confirmed that Israeli warplanes were targeting weapons from Iran and destined for Hizbullah in Lebanon.

The Washington Post reported Thursday that Israel had gathered satellite imagery showing possible North Korean cooperation with Syria on a nuclear facility.

Semmel, who is in Italy for a meeting Saturday on the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty, said that Syria was certainly on the US nuclear "watch list."

"There are indicators that they do have something going on there," he said. "We do know that there are a number of foreign technicians that have been in Syria. We do know that there may have been contact between Syria and some secret suppliers for nuclear equipment. Whether anything transpired remains to be seen."

"So good foreign policy, good national security policy, would suggest that we pay very close attention to that," he said. "We're watching very closely. Obviously, the Israelis were watching very closely."

Asked if the suppliers could have been North Koreans, he said: "There are North Korean people there. There's no question about that. Just as there are a lot of North Koreans in Iraq and Iran."

Asked if the so-called Khan network, which supplied nuclear technology to Iran,
Libya and North Korea, could have been involved, he said he "wouldn't exclude" it.

"Many U.S. Muslim groups viewed as moderate by the Justice Department and other government agencies secretly are linked to the pro-terrorist Muslim Brotherhood"

At last the truth -- the truth we have repeated here for years -- is coming out. "Inside the Ring," by Bill Gertz in the Washington Times (thanks to Matthew):

The international Sunni jihadist group Muslim Brotherhood set up numerous U.S. front groups since the 1990s that should be regarded as hostile and a threat to the United States, a Pentagon Joint Staff analyst said.

Stephen Caughlin, a lawyer and military intelligence specialist on the Joint Staff, stated in a Sept. 7 memorandum that many U.S. Muslim groups viewed as moderate by the Justice Department and other government agencies secretly are linked to the pro-terrorist Muslim Brotherhood. The groups also are engaged in influence and deception operations designed to mask their true aims, he said.

Documents entered into evidence in the federal terrorism trial in Dallas of the Holy Land Foundation, a charity charged with illegally funding the Palestinian Hamas terrorist group, reveal new security threats from a network of more than 29 U.S. Muslim groups.

"These documents are beginning to define the structure and outline of domestic jihad threat entities, associated nongovernmental organizations and potential terrorist or insurgent support systems," Mr. Caughlin said.

Specifically, a 1991 Muslim Brotherhood memorandum "describes aspects of the global jihad's strategic information warfare campaign and indications of its structure, reach and activities," Mr. Caughlin said.

The Muslim Brotherhood memo on organizing Muslims in North America said that all members "must understand their work in America is a kind of grand jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within, and 'sabotaging' its miserable house by their hands and the hands of believers so that it is eliminated and God's religion is made victorious over all other religions."

Mr. Caughlin said in his memo that "consequently, outreach strategies must be adjusted in the face of credible information that seeming Islamic humanitarian or professional nongovernmental organizations may be part of the global jihad with potential for being part of the terrorist or insurgent support system," he said.

Mr. Caughlin said the 1991 memorandum identifies the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) as part of the Muslim Brotherhood. The ISNA, one of more than 300 unindicted co-conspirators in the Holy Land Foundation trial, recently became a subject of controversy among officials who opposed the Justice Department's participation in a conference held last month, despite opposition from two members of Congress.

In August, Rep. Peter Hoekstra, Michigan Republican, and Rep. Sue Myrick, North Carolina Republican, wrote to Attorney General Alberto R. Gonzales to oppose the Justice Department's attendance at the ISNA conference in Chicago as a "grave mistake" because it would legitimize a group with "extremist origins."

The Justice Department said in response that its participation at the Labor Day weekend meeting was part of "outreach efforts ... to educate the public about how the department works to protect religious freedom, voting rights, economic opportunity, and many other rights."

Mr. Caughlin warned in his memo that such outreach "can cause those responsible for its success to so narrowly focus on the outreach relationship that they miss the surrounding events and lose perspective."

"This could undermine unity of effort in homeland security, lead to potential for embarrassment for the [U.S. government] and legitimize threat organizations by providing them domestic sanctuary."

No war of Ideas

Sen. Joe Lieberman pressed senior U.S. intelligence and security officials this week on what the Bush administration is doing to counter the ideology of Islamic extremism domestically and internationally.

The answer from the top officials: Not much.

Mr. Lieberman, chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, said during a hearing Monday that a war of ideas is needed to counter Islamic extremists.

"Because this is a war, but it is ultimately a war against, and with, an ideology that is inimical to our own values of freedom and tolerance and diversity," the Connecticut independent said.

FBI Director Robert S. Mueller III revealed during the hearing that the FBI has no counterideology response other than its "outreach" to Muslim-American communities so they "understand the FBI" and address "the radicalization issue," he said.

Asked whether the FBI has a responsibility to wage a battle of ideas within U.S. Muslim-American communities, Mr. Mueller said: "You put that where I would say no, that it would not be our responsibility for any religion to engage in the war of ideas."

The FBI's responsibility, he said, is "to explain that once one goes over the line and it becomes not a war of ideas but a criminal offense, this is what you can expect, and to elicit the support of those in whatever religious community to assist us in assuring that those who cross that line are appropriately investigated and convicted."

The comment shows that despite the creation of a dedicated FBI intelligence-gathering branch, the bureau remains limited to investigation and law enforcement.

Retired Vice Adm. Scott Redd, head of the National Counterterrorism Center who has a strategic operational role in countering terrorism, said one of the "four pillars" of the U.S. war strategy is the "war of ideas," but he noted that there is no "home office" for that effort in the United States.

Retired Vice Adm. Mike McConnell, director of national intelligence, said the intelligence community does not conduct any battle of ideas against terrorists in the United States unless there is a foreign connection.

Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff also said nothing is being done domestically to battle Islamist extremist ideas. The department's incident management team, he said, is focused on civil rights or civil liberties — not fighting terrorists' ideology.

Ain't that the truth. Where is the new Radio Free Europe, where is the new Voice of America, to broadcast into the Islamic world against the jihad ideology?

Fighting the war of ideas -- that is the primary focus of my new book. But I see hardly anyone else working in this area.

Police: Michigan med student with AK-47 in park claims to be Hizballah member

zorkot005.png

Possibly a major terror attack averted in Detroit. The above image is from Houssein Zorkot's website (thanks to all who sent this in), via HotAir:

An update on this story. "Police Prevent Terrorist Attack in Michigan," from WLNS.com (thanks to Jeffrey Imm):

Federal authorities in Dearborn may have stopped a planned terrorist attack and mass murder before it happened. Police got a tip that a 26-year-old medical student was planning an attack, and when they stopped him in a Dearborn park, he had an AK-47 assault rifle and was dressed in black military style clothing. He also had black makeup on his face as he climbed into an SUV with the loaded weapon. The man was arrested and is facing several felony charges. Police say he has a website where he claims to be a member of the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah.

Video: New bin Laden & 9/11 Hijacker "Martyrdom" Video

bin_laden_911-martyr-2007-a.jpg

bin_laden_911-martyr-2007-b.jpg

The Jawa Report and LauraMansfield.com have obtained an exclusive copy of an unreleased al Qaeda video featuring Osama bin Laden. The video is the last will and testament-- or "martyr" video--of Waleed al Shehri, one of the 19 hijackers responsible for the 9/11 attrocities.

The video shows Osama bin Laden in the same clothes and with the same background as another 'new' video released of the al Qaeda leader this week.

Waleed al Shehri was on board Flight 11 and is thought, along with his brother Wail al-Shehri, to have murdered at least two flight attendants during the hijacking. Mohammed Atta flew the plane. The plane eventually was crashed by Atta into World Trade Center North Tower 1.

Stand by for video. It's a HUGE file. 47 minutes long, over 600 megs. Might take some time uploading it. If I don't get it uploaded tonight in an embeddable format, check with Laura Mansfield to see if she was able to get it on to her servers.

Sunni Sheik Assassinated in Anbar

(Baghdad) A prominent Sunni tribal leader and key ally of the U.S. in the Anbar Province of Iraq, Sheik Abdul Sattar Abu Reesha (pic), was killed by a roadside bomb earlier today in Ramadi. Two bodyguards were also killed.

Abu Reesha, 39, was head of the Anbar Salvation Council -- also known as the Anbar Awakening -- a coalition of tribes that has been working with the U.S. military to counter al Qaeda in Sunni-dominated Anbar province.

The council, funded and supported by Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, was formed last year.

Police said the attack happened about a mile from Abu Reesha's home, but the deputy head of the Anbar Salvation Council, Sheik Hameed al-Hayyes, said the bomb struck the convoy 50 meters from his home in a heavily secured zone surrounding the house.

Al-Hayyes said Abu Reesha was leaving his home to go to his nearby farm, a daily routine, when he was attacked. It appears that someone was able to enter the "heavily secured zone surrounding the house" and plant a bomb. Inside job?

Al-Qaeda is suspected. Abu Reesha's high-profile cooperation with the U.S. and coalition forces made him a prime target. Achieving success in Anbar has roiled Abu Reesha's enemies.

From radical Islamic leader to disillusioned ex-prisoner - International Herald Tribune

At last someone provides information about how Britain has become radicalized, yet the British government will not ban this group. It is sheer lunacy that the group has not been banned in the UK but this is the consequence of being politically correct.

U.S. helped Germans thwart bomb plot

http://www.iht.com/articles/2007/09/09/europe/germany.php

The potential terrorists were being watched and the alert about them went out in 2006. It is this level of co-operation that is needed to combat terrorists and put these thugs in prison where they belong. I would suggest bringing back a death penalty for those responsible for initiating terrorism and what is tantamount to being a traitor to one's country.

The Jawa Report: New al Qaeda Video Shows Zawahiri, Adam Gadahn, Threatening U.S. Homeland

The Jawa Report: New al Qaeda Video Shows Zawahiri, Adam Gadahn, Threatening U.S. Homeland

I did not get around to blogging this one when it was fresh, but in the light of the latest videos from Al Qaeda, and allegedly from OBL, I think that this one is worth a mention. It seems that the American traitor has a lot of power with AQ because there are some who think that he was behind the latest from OBL. What is of interest in this video is the following from Adam the traitor:

How can we recognize a law which states that the Embassy or Consulate is for all intents and purposes an inviolable fortress which the host country has no right to enter or monitor and when our sharia’h commands us to liberate every handspan of Islamic land occupied by the unbelievers?”....

Therefore, we shall continue to target you, at home and abroad...

The American traitor identifies himself with AQ to the point that he willingly threatens his own homeland. What a coward!!

Al-Qa'eda 'as strong today as it was on 9/11

Al-Qa'eda 'as strong today as it was on 9/11' - Telegraph

This is a report from an intelligence think tank. It is based upon the supposition that the war on terror has been ineffective. However, some of the conclusions might be questionable, especially when there has been a lot of success in busting newly formed terror cells.

What the report does not address though, is the jihadist mentality as expressed within Islam and the Koran. So long as westerners cannot perceive that jihad does not mean "inner struggle", but that it means a war against the infidel, then yes it is true that the war on terror has been unsuccessful. However, success can be ours if the authorities are prepared to put aside their politically correct thinking, and to look again at the threat that is spreading throughout the world.

According to the report, al-Qa'eda has been successful in recruiting smaller jihadist groups that have sworn formal allegiance, while alleged plots uncovered in Europe, Canada, the Gulf and North Africa "point to a growing trend towards radicalisation with the Islamic world".

The report argues that the challenge for governments in Western and Muslim countries was to "confront" extremist ideology that gives rise to the terrorism promoted by al-Qa'eda and affiliates. They must tackle, for example, Muslim views of being victims of non-Muslim aggression.

What we term radicalization is not radical as far as the Koran is concerned. The recruiters are able to work on their adherents because of the fundamentalist ideology of following exactly what is written in the Koran. It is a fact that Jihad against the Infidel is encouraged. The latest video to come from Al Qaeda, even if not directly from OBL made another request for the "infidel" to convert to Islam. Our leaders do not seem to understand that these invitations are to be taken seriously, because once the invitation has been made and it has been rejected, the Muslims are allowed to attack the occupants of the country that has rejected that invitation.

This report points to the failed bomb plots as proof of the strength of Al Qaeda, but even though I am not an expert in this area, I will beg to differ from the conclusions of the writers of the report. I see the failure to be able to carry out these plots as proof that the war on the terror of Al Qaeda is successful. Here in Australia people have been willing to report suspicious activity. This gives the authorities the opportunity to track known terrorists. In the USA people are continuing to be vigilant, even though CAIR has been busy attempting to hamper all efforts in the fight against Islamic terror. Also, the mere fact that CAIR is struggling to gain legitimacy in the USA, and that it was named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation case, is an indication that people are willing to point the finger at those who desire to destabilize our governments.

Now London and the UK in general might be a different proposition because London has a mayor who is what I term a Richard Cranium. The real problem in the UK is the ascendancy of the looney left. So long as the left is in charge, and political correctness is all the rage, London will remain a threat. The UK needs to deal seriously with the issue of the proposed mosque. It must not be built, because to allow that building to move forward could be disastrous for GB in the future. The conter intelliegence folk need to become more vigilant in the UK, and they need to start dealing more honestly with the threat of Islam. Until they can be honest about this issue, then this report retains some validity.

FANATICS' INTERNET TRAINING
Websites teach murder
By Daniel Jones

Fanatical British Muslims are using the internet to plot a fresh wave of terror to mark the sixth anniversary of 9/11, The People can reveal.

We have infiltrated a string of vile websites that spell out in chilling detail how to bring carnage to the UK.

Crude bomb-making instructions have been circulated on the web for years. But we found expert videos showing wannabe killers how to create home-made bombs, chemicals and poisons for mass murder.

Some are even based on stolen guides written for US and British military chiefs.

Five days ago, German cops smashed an alleged Islamic fundamentalist cell recruited through the internet.

But despite the setback, al-Qaeda increasingly use websites to give lessons in terror as they are harder to track than fanatics travelling to foreign training camps.

The sites we found include step-by-step guides to making:

  1. Suicide bomb belts similar to the ones used in the 7/7 London attacks;
  2. Car bombs packed with gas canisters like those used in the botched attempts to blow up a London club and Glasgow airport in June; and
  3. Deadly ricin poison and DIY chemical agents.

Others include manuals with titles like The Mujahideen Explosives Handbook and The Mujahideen Poisons Handbook.

Security analyst Charles Shoebridge said: "Academic interest aside, there seems little point in possessing these collections other than to learn terrorist tradecraft.

"There are likely to be individuals using this type of material to plot terror attacks."

And he warned: "These sites are more dangerous than the propaganda sites that have so far dominated public concern.

"For example, only a proportion of those interested in radical Islam become terrorists. But ANYONE with terrorist intent, Islamist or not, would find these sites extremely useful."

He added: "As the authorities begin to tackle training in places such as Pakistan, distance-learning in terrorist techniques - which is largely web-based - becomes ever more important."

For security reasons, we are not naming the specific sites we accessed - or giving details of bombs and terror methods.

Over the past year we have highlighted the growing use of the net by UK extremists, including the creation of cyber-mosques where clerics preach hate against the nation that gives them shelter.

And Mr Shoebridge warned it was time for counter-terror chiefs to act against websites which peddle messages of murder. He said: "Within the UK, inciting or glorifying terrorism are already criminal offences - but as yet there have been few web-related prosecutions.

"It may prove more effective for the authorities to pursue not only those who create the sites but also the internet service providers behind them."

SUICIDE BOMB JACKETS

A sick 26-minute film shows how to pack a suicide belt with high explosives and shrapnel - to cause maximum loss of life.

It then recreates a bus blast like the one that killed 14 people on a London bus in the 7/7 horror.

A callous voiceover in Arabic says: "When the person who will be wearing this wants to blow himself up, he must be facing the front with his back towards the back."

POISONS

A horrific 23-page manual spells out a series of recipes for killer poisons.

It details toxins like arsenic and cyanide but also looks at poisons that can be made from everyday items such as tobacco, potatoes, cornflour and mushrooms.

The writer admits some recipes are not yet perfect but adds: "It is hoped brothers who work on this will research further and carry out their own experiments - preferably on non-Muslims."

HOW TO MAKE RICIN

Deadly ricin is made from castor beans - and is an al-Qaeda favourite.

Several videos give step-by-step guides to extract the poison.

In one, a presenter says: "It is one of the most toxic organic substances. One two thousandth of a grain is lethal." He then calmly shows how to make it as if he were a Blue Peter host.

Other sites feature the US patent for ricin - including a diagram and a precise recipe for making it.

BUILD A GAS CAR BOMB

A vile video highlights how to use gas canisters in car-bombs - in a chilling echo of June's failed terror attacks in London and Glasgow.

The 14-minute film ends with footage of a similar bomb going off in Iraq - allegedly killing 35 non-Muslims.

A voiceover says: "Let it be known the brothers chose the time of their gathering to carry out the operation in order to kill and torture them."

Muslim group behind ‘mega-mosque’ seeks to convert all Britain

With thanks to Robert at Jihad Watch:

Tablighi Jamaat sets out to clear up misconceptions about Islam. By Andrew Norfolk in the TimesOnline (thanks to Kemaste):

A Muslim group that wants to open a giant £100 million mosque in London has set its sights on “winning the whole of Britain to Islam”.

Tablighi Jamaat aims to build an Islamic complex near to the site of the 2012 Olympic stadium, with a mosque for 12,000 people, by far the largest religious building in Britain.

The organisation, which has millions of followers worldwide, insists that it is a peaceful, apolitical revivalist movement that promotes Islamic consciousness among individual Muslims. However, intelligence agencies have cautioned that the group’s ability to fire young men with a zeal for Islam acts as a staging post, for some, along a path that leads to jihadist terrorism.

Kafeel Ahmed, the Indian doctor who died from burns last month after trying to set off a car bomb at Glasgow Airport, is the latest in a line of terrorists for whose initial radicalisation Tablighi Jamaat has been blamed. The group (literally, the preaching party) belongs to the ultra-conservative Deobandi school of thought within Sunni Islam, whose adherents run more than 600 of Britain’s 1,350 mosques.

In recent days The Times has exposed the virulently anti-Western creed of some British Deobandis who preach that non-Muslims are an evil and corrupting influence. Their defensive, isolationist approach to life in Britain is shared by many British supporters of Tablighi Jamaat.

One leading advocate, Ebrahim Rangooni, has said that the movement seeks to “rescue the ummah [the global Muslim community] from the culture and civilisation of the Jews, the Christians and [other] enemies of Islam”. Its aim, he wrote, is to create such hatred for their ways as human beings have for urine and excreta”.

Mr Rangooni has also given warning to parents that non-Muslim schools “turn humans into animals” and that sending a Muslim child to a British college “is as dangerous as throwing them into hell with your own hands”.

Representatives of Tablighi Jamaat refused to attend a public meeting on Friday to discuss plans for the “mega mosque” in West Ham, even though the debate was organised by a Muslim group.

Tablighi Jamaat was founded in 1926, in India, by a Deobandi scholar, Muhammad Ilyas, who wanted to raise Islamic awareness among rural Muslims in south Asia. He promised them that by obeying Islamic laws and following the example of the Prophet Muhammad in their personal lives they would one day “dominate over non-believers” and become “masters of everything on this earth”.

Ishaq Patel, Tablighi Jamaat’s first amir (leader) in Britain, is said to have been on pilgrimage in Mecca when Ilyas’s successor gave him a long-term mission to win “the whole of Britain to Islam”.

Yoginder Sikand, a Muslim expert on the movement, says that its ethos of “social and cultural separatism and insularity” seeks “to minimise contacts with people of other faiths”.

The self-segregation that this encourages is evident in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, where the group has its European headquarters. The Tablighi Jamaat complex – housing its large Markazi mosque and a Deobandi seminary called the Islamic Institute of Education - is based in the Savile Town area, which has an 88 per cent Asian population. The overwhelming majority of its 5,000 residents are Muslims from Pakistan or the Gujarat region of India and some, at home and at work, have little contact with nonMuslims.

It was on the advice of a Tablighi Jamaat scholar that Aishah Azmi, a Dewsbury teaching assistant, refused to remove her full-face veil in the class-room while helping young children who were learning to speak English.

Mr Sikand says: “There is little doubt that the sense of cultural separatism and heightened [Islamic] identity consciousness fostered by Tablighi Jamaat can be taken advantage of by more assertive Islamist groups that have a more explicit political agenda.”

One of the suicide bombers who attacked London in July 2005, Shehzad Tanweer, studied at the Deobandi seminary in Dewsbury and Mohammad Sidique Khan, the leader of the 7/7 terror plot, was a regular worshipper at the adjoining mosque. Richard Reid, the shoe bomber, was said to have been influenced by Tablighi Jamaat, several of whose adherents were also among those arrested last year over an alleged plot to blow up transatlantic airliners.

Shabbir Daji, a trustee and secretary of the Tablighi Jamaat mosque in Dewsbury, told The Times that the movement’s aim was “unity among all humanity”. He said that it had no hidden agenda. “We never come out on demonstrations against the Government,” he said. “Our aim is to make each and everyone . . . a better Muslim.”

Including you and me, whether we like it or not.

This is the most frightening aspect of this group - they intend to force us to convert to Islam or lose our lives. If we do not believe this truth, then we are all lost.

Spencer: Osama’s Challenge

Robert Spencer of Jihad Watch once again has a good and believable analysis of the meaning of the video that has been released by OBL:

The overlooked aspect of Osama's latest video. From FrontPage (news links in the original):

"I invite you to embrace Islam,” says Osama bin Laden in his latest videotape. Most analysts take this as pious window-dressing and focus on what they believe to be the more substantive points of his message:
  • his comments on the war in Iraq,
  •  his critique of capitalism,
  • the similarity of much of what he says to Democratic Party talking points, and the like.
But in fact the invitation to Islam is the heart, and the most revealing aspect, of bin Laden’s entire statement.

The chief reason for this, of course, is because in traditional Islamic law, the invitation to Islam must precede an attack on non-Muslims. The Islamic prophet Muhammad makes this clear, directing Muslims to issue this invitation first, and if the unbelievers refuse, to invite them to enter the Islamic social order as second-class dhimmis, and if they refuse both, to go to war with them:

Fight in the name of Allah and in the way of Allah. Fight against those who disbelieve in Allah. Make a holy war, do not embezzle the spoils; do not break your pledge; and do not mutilate (the dead) bodies; do not kill the children. When you meet your enemies who are polytheists, invite them to three courses of action. If they respond to any one of these, you also accept it and withhold yourself from doing them any harm. Invite them to (accept) Islam; if they respond to you, accept it from them and desist from fighting against them....If they refuse to accept Islam, demand from them the Jizya [the poll tax on non-Muslims]. If they agree to pay, accept it from them and hold off your hands. If they refuse to pay the tax, seek Allah's help and fight them. (Sahih Muslim 4294)
Is, then, a major attack imminent? There are numerous indications of that – suggesting that one of the primary audiences, at least for this part of Osama’s message, is the Islamic world. If such an attack comes, Osama has by means of this videotape attempted to forestall criticism by Muslims, and has laid claim to Islamic legitimacy for Al-Qaeda’s actions.

But there is also a still wider significance to Osama’s invitation to Islam. He offers in this videotape a cultural critique of the Judeo-Christian West. This critique doesn’t focus on the exportation of its immoral pop culture, which some think is the primary, if not sole, grievance of the Islamic world against the West; Osama doesn’t mention that at all here. Rather, he concentrates on its religion: “You believe with absolute certainty that you believe in Allah, and you are full of conviction of this belief, so much that you have written this belief of yours on your dollar. But the truth is that you are mistaken in this belief of yours.”

Why? He lists two reasons:

  • “you associate others with Him in your beliefs
  • and separate state from religion.”
Both of these criticisms focus on Christianity:
  1.  Islam regards the divinity of Christ as an unacceptable and polytheistic association of a partner with God,
  2. and rejects the sacred/secular distinction that is ultimately derived from Christ’s directive to “render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s” (Matthew 22:21).

Bin Laden charges the West with “manifest polytheism,” criticizing its making laws “in contradiction to [Allah’s] Law and methodology.” This is an integral part of his invitation to Islam: since Islam is a political and social system as well as a religious faith, to accept it is not merely to change one’s religious affiliation: it would fundamentally alter the nature of Western society.

The call to implement Islamic Sharia law in its fullness as an antidote to the ills of society is resonating throughout the Islamic world, with severe challenges to relatively secular regimes being mounted recently in Malaysia, Turkey, and Pakistan. Jihadists base their appeal in the Islamic world on the purity of their Islam, and on the proposition that obedience to Allah brings worldly success, as Osama says: “And our holding firm to this magnificent Book is the secret of our strength and winning of the war against you despite the fewness of our numbers and materiel.”

Six years after 9/11, and a year and a half after Donald Rumsfeld observed that “We need to find ways to win the ideological battle as well,” the jihadists’ ideological challenge is not being answered adequately. Osama’s challenge to Christianity and advocacy of Sharia is an opportunity for Western leaders to stress the aspects of Judeo-Christian civilization that Sharia law denies:

  1. notably the equality of dignity of men and women
  2. and the freedom of conscience.

But no Western leader will do this, because it would contradict the multiculturalist dogma that no civilization or culture has any virtues that any others do not possess.

The centrality of the jihadists’ cultural challenge to the West, and Western unwillingness to respond to this challenge, is a chief theme of my book Religion of Peace? Why Christianity Is and Islam Isn’t, but it is getting little attention elsewhere; even conservative media figures are hesitant to discuss the cultural conflict. The ideological challenge that the jihadists are making to the West remains the single most misunderstood aspect of the war on terror. As Osama invites us once again to accept Islam, probably very few Americans would be able to articulate why they wouldn’t want to accept the invitation, and yet talk of Sharia and how it contradicts basic Western understandings of human rights remain taboo.

As Al-Qaeda attempts to follow up on Osama’s invitation, and Europe becomes increasingly riven by strife between Muslims and non-Muslims, it will become clearer why we ignore this aspect of the jihadist challenge at our own peril.

My challenge here is to invite readers to consider the consequences of ignoring the message behind the OBL video before it is too late. Please do not leave comments stating that you doubt that this is OBL or that GW set the video up, because such comments only show that the reader is woolly headed and needs to get off whatever he or she is taking.  There is a challenge in the video, and this challenge has been issued recently at least 3 times. This means that time is running out for the Western countries as far as OBL is concerned. He is following precisely what was set down by the false prophet Mohammed. When will the MSM, the Left and our government leaders sit up and really take notice to this new and rather disturbing threat that has been issued in the name of a false religion.

Germany says terror plot may be wider - up to 50 involved

Germany says terror plot may be wider - Yahoo! News

The German terror plot seems to be wider than anticipated according to this report from Yahoo news.

German authorities believe two German converts and a Turk were only the leading tip of the planning, said Petra Kneuer, spokeswoman for the Federal Prosecutor's Office.

She said authorities were investigating seven more suspects inside and outside Germany as part of what could be a larger network, and that reports that about 50 people may be involved are "not unrealistic."

The two German suspects have been identified as Fritz Martin Gelowicz, 28, described as the leader of an Islamic Jihad Union terror cell in Germany, and Daniel Martin Schneider, 22. The third man has been identified as Adem Yilmaz, 29, born in Turkey but living in Germany.

Last New Year's Eve, one of the suspects was spotted studying a U.S. Army base at Hanau, near Frankfurt, and security officials say he may have been scouting it as a target.

Prosecutors have said potential targets might have included restaurants, pubs, discotheques, airports and other places frequented by Americans.

Joerg Ziercke, the head of the Federal Crime Office, said the arrests had disrupted the plan. "The peak of the danger has passed," he said.

Asked about a report in the news weekly Focus that the three man had obtained vans across the border in France, Kneuer said the purpose of the vehicles had not been determined.

"So far it hasn't been shown that there really was a link to the planned attacks," she told The Associated Press.

The three suspects allegedly belonged to the Islamic Jihad Union, an offshoot of the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan, which has origins in that Central Asian country. The union is marked by "profound hatred" of U.S. citizens, officials said.

The extremism that fueled the alleged plot was cultivated in the city of Ulm, on the banks of the Danube River in southwestern Germany, security officials said.

Ulm, the birthplace of Albert Einstein, has been known for its cathedral, which has one of the largest church towers in the world. But in recent years it has become a hotbed of radical Islamic activity. Security officials said Gelowicz attended an Islamic center that was later closed by authorities as a security risk.

German politicians called Saturday on Islamic groups and communities in Germany to step up their commitment to the fight against terrorism. Interior Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble and Justice Minister Brigitte Zypries said Muslims should report potentially violent extremists to authorities.

"I am certain that the peace-loving Muslims in our country want to keep violent radicals from discrediting their faith community," Zypries was quoted as saying by the weekly Bild am Sonntag.

Our followers must live in peace until they are strong enough to wage jihad (make that war)

Jihad Watch: "Our followers 'must live in peace until strong enough to wage jihad'"

Here is yet another Mohammedan on the real intention of Pakistani Mohammedans:

Let's hope. More on yesterday's story about Deobandi control of almost half of the mosques in the United Kingdom, by Andrew Norfolk for the Times Online:

One of the world’s most respected Deobandi scholars believes that aggressive military jihad should be waged by Muslims “to establish the supremacy of Islam” worldwide.
Justice Muhammad Taqi Usmani argues that Muslims should live peacefully in countries such as Britain, where they have the freedom to practise Islam, only until they gain enough power to engage in battle.
His views explode the myth that the creed of offensive, expansionist jihad represents a distortion of traditional Islamic thinking.
Mr Usmani, 64, sat for 20 years as a Sharia judge in Pakistan’s Supreme Court. He is an adviser to several global financial institutions and a regular visitor to Britain. Polite and softly spoken, he revealed to The Times a detailed knowledge of world events and his words, for the most part, were balanced and considered.
He agreed that it was wrong to suggest that the entire nonMuslim world was intent on destroying Islam. Yet this is a man who, in his published work, argues the case for Muslims to wage an expansionist war against nonMuslim lands.

Mr Usmani’s justification for aggressive military jihad as a means of establishing global Islamic supremacy is revealed at the climax of his book, Islam and Modernism. The work is a polemic against Islamic modernists who seek to convert the entire Koran into “a poetic and metaphorical book” because, he says, they have been bewitched by Western culture and ideology.

Just one of many pro-jihad books one may find on the shelves of London bookstores.

The final chapter delivers a rebuke to those who believe that only defensive jihad (fighting to defend a Muslim land that is under attack or occupation) is permissible in Islam. He refutes the suggestion that jihad is unlawful against a nonMuslim state that freely permits the preaching of Islam.
For Mr Usmani, “the question is whether aggressive battle is by itself commendable or not”. “If it is, why should the Muslims stop simply because territorial expansion in these days is regarded as bad? And if it is not commendable, but deplorable, why did Islam not stop it in the past?”
He answers his own question thus: “Even in those days ... aggressive jihads were waged ... because it was truly commendable for establishing the grandeur of the religion of Allah.”
These words are not the product of a radical extremist. They come from the pen of one of the most acclaimed scholars in the Deobandi tradition.

Update on the Denmark Terrorism plot

The man behind the foiled Denmark terrorism plot had targeted the British and United States embassies in Denmark.  The planned attacks were set to mark the 6th anniversary of the attack on the World Trade Centre.

The eight suspects who have been rounded up range in ages from 19 to 29 and they come from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Somalia and Turkey.  They are believed to be a part of the Al Qaeda network. It is believed that the group had received instructions from British based cyber terrorists who had been shut down earlier this year:

The British group's activities were stopped by an MI5 investigation earlier this year when three men were jailed for encouraging suicide missions using online forums and websites.

Their websites were also used as a secure communications centre by several senior Al Qaeda operatives, including two Bosnian-based terror chiefs known as "Maximus" and "Danish Turk".

The pair were jailed over a plot to mount a suicide attack against a Western embassy in Sarajevo.

And The Mail on Sunday understands that two of those arrested in Copenhagen had been in regular telephone contact with them and under longterm surveillance by Danish intelligence.

The arrest earlier in the year of the British group helped authorities to keep these terrorists under surveillance. It is work well done, but have they captured all concerned?

The Left Reacts to Osama's Video - a parody on leftist views

Chickenhawk Express: The Left Reacts to Osama's Video

Robin of Chickenhawk Express sets out to show how the Left will react to the latest offering fom OBL who has gone to the effort of dyeing his beard black. Here are her points:

1. Pay No Attention to the terrorist in the video.
According to one Kos kid poster, the man sounds like the Unabomber. Oh really!

2. The Bin Laden Video nonsense.
According to this Kos poster, there is no importance in the fact that OBL had dyed his beard. It is more important to bash Bush!!

3. I guess Bin Laden is a Republican.
After all OBL dared to criticize the Democrats!!

4. Notice how the OBL release his tape JIT to help Bush
I guess you can call this the "It's not OBL" conspiracy theory.

5. Kyoto accord.
Is someone trying to link this to terrorism?

6. OBL denied
"Just how stupid do they think we are". The poster does not believe that it is OBL in the tape. I guess someone needs to pull their head out of the sand.

7.Aligning progressive arguments with terrorism is the easiest way to
discredit them without actually having to disprove them.

8.Yup, I think that's it
Just associate OBL with the exact messages that the progressive community uses.
Fits right in with the RW "liberals are with the terrorists" theme.

9.If that's OBL, I'll kiss your ass in front of the White House
Starting with the 04 tape and now this one, OBL never talked about current events in his tapes, nor did he address American political parties. This tape is a RNC/WH production.

10. There'll be another one before the election- you can take that to the f@&*ing bank.
This is the "surge" edition.

One would think the "bad guys" in the CIA (Bush bots)

would learn not to be so obvious...wouldn't one.

This tape is a fake, just like the one broadcast just before the '04 elections.
Wake up, sheeple. OBL is dead. Your minds are being manipulated.

Sorry, but he does sound like a Democrat
He's pissed that the Democratic Congress hasnt ended the war as promised..Something that is repeated here daily. He is also concerned about Global Warming and the mortgage crisis...So obviously BushCo has fabricated this video to make the Dems look bad.

I dunno, it sounded like a YearlyKos convention speech
Obviously this is a BushCo planted video...

OH BROTHER! They are recycling the 2004 Robot bin Laden tape!
Sorry, not convinced by this bogus (and very low resolution) "new tape," He's bin Dead since December 2001, which was the last time I saw anything convincing.

Sorry, Wingnuts, Osama is Not a Leftist

When someone admits the veracity of Noam Chomsky's social and political analysis, that does not mean they are a leftist.

When someone argues that the war in Iraq began largely to help US corporations make money through profiteering and by securing oil resources, that does not mean they are a leftist.

When someone accuses the US government's policy as akin to hegemonic imperialism, that does not mean they are a leftist.

It means they are a realist.

Our Oil Imperialism Caused And Keeps Igniting Islamic
fundamentalism. They have a point. We (and by we - I mean American corporations) are basically stealing from the people of the Middle East.

This is One of the Sick Consequences of Bush's Policies
Giving Osama Bin Laden the moral high ground. He can point to the Dems craven politics as just another example of the anti-democratic and immoral USA.

Bush has already destroyed the credibility of the federal government for a generation. Now he's working hard towards undermining all global sympathy for US policy goals

Whilst these excuses look like a parody, they are in fact comments that have been made by the moonbats on the Left in American politics. These people are so full of dope that they do not seem to have the ability to properly process what is happening around them. They do not understand the real significance of having OBL appear with his hair dyed. Will they blame Bush when OBL orders another attack on US soil? Look at it this way, for in the last week two Al Qaeda plots in Europe have been foiled. The first was in Denmark, where more than 7 people have been arrested, and the other is in Germany, where three have been arrested, and up to 10 others are being sought by the authorities in Germany.

There is simply no excuse for people having their heads so far in the sand that it looks like their heads are squarely up their butts instead. These people are not realists, and that is particularly true of the followers of Ron Paul, and the Troofers.
